Role: Delivery Centre Support Worker
Salary: £24,404 – £25,183 per annum (Grade 4)
Location: Fylde and Wyre District
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Sponsorship: This role is not open to international sponsorship

About the Role

The Children and Family Wellbeing Service (CFW) is offering exciting opportunities to join our team as a Delivery Centre Support Worker in the Fylde and Wyre district. This is a rewarding role supporting children, young people, and families across Lancashire. We work with children and young people aged 0 to 19, and up to 25 for those with special educational needs and disabilities.

As a Delivery Centre Support Worker, you will be the first point of contact for families and young people accessing our Family Hubs and centres, as well as for our multi-agency partners. You will play an important role in ensuring our centres are welcoming, well maintained, and supportive environments for the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for children, young people, families, and partner organisations
  • Provide a welcoming environment in our Family Hubs and centres
  • Handle enquiries, calls, room booking requests, and group work referrals
  • Manage waiting lists and maintain accurate records on our Early Help Management Information system
  • Use a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Office
  • Work with the Neighbourhood and Community team to prepare rooms for meetings, courses, and groups
  • Report and liaise on facilities issues with the maintenance team where necessary
  • Support colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of centres across the district

Training and Development

The successful candidate will receive a full induction and training package. We pride ourselves on offering ongoing professional development and opportunities for progression within the Children and Family Wellbeing Service.

Requirements

  • Good IT knowledge and the ability to use multiple computer systems
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and welcoming approach to working with families and young people
  • Ability to work flexibly across different centres within the district

  • Car user: Desirable, as travel across the Chorley district may be required
  • DBS check: Required
  • DCCR: Applies (Disqualification for Caring for Children Regulations)
